Sports Mix : Football

We were happy to arrive to Sports Mix and see that it was football.

All of their classes start off with stretching.

Waiting for instructions.

Holding onto the ball.

Getting a little antsy after they caught their balls and waiting for everyone else.

A successful catch~ The coaches were so great with the kids and took as many times as needed with each child to ensure that they had a positive experience and catch the ball at least once.

Building a Monkey who are now known as Hockey Sticker and Mikey

Uncle Tony and Aunt Gina took the boys out to Build A Bear as a birthday gift.

We arrived at the mall and found them in the store.  The boys immediately started looking for what they wanted to build.

It apparently didn't take very long for Jackson to decide on the monkey.

Connor struggles making decisions and was back and forth with bears and other animals.

Jackson quickly moved on to the machines to give his monkey his plumpness.  Apparently, he wasn't happy with approved amount and pushed to have Hockey Sticker, yes, Hockey Sticker, plumped up.

After seeing Jackson's monkey, Connor immediately switched and picked a monkey too!  Besides being indecisive, he also covets ANYTHING that Jackson has.

We left them with Uncle Tony and Aunt Gina and to finish up their bears and for some Chick Fil A.

When we caught up with them, they had worked them for a pretzel and Frappucino.  It was a fun night for Jackson and Connor as they built their First BEAR Monkey.

Toddler Show and Tell

The boys received their assigned date and it was a struggle to pick three items.  Their lovies were immediately an option but the other 2 we had to work on.

Connor added a WordWorld DVD because he loves the show so much and he was supposed to explain how he learned letters and all about the animals.

His final decision was How the Grinch Stole Christmas because it is his favorite Dr. Seuss book.  We discussed that he could explain the story and how he also likes If I Ran the Circus and If I Ran the Zoo.

Getting Jackson to commit was a chore.  Besides his frog, we were s-t-r-u-g-g-l-i-n-g!

We added the GeoTrax train since he loves his trains and was to discuss the remote control option and that the trains could go backwards and forward.

After deciding the train, we suggested a game as the boys received a bunch of games for their birthday and Christmas.  His current favorite is Loopin Louie so he brought Louie in with him. We are hopeful that he discussed how fun it is when Louie is looping around and knocking off everybody's chickens.

A Frozen start to the New Year

After all of the amazing reviews for Frozen, we decided that it was finally time to get the boys to their 1st movie.

We picked the Rotunda since the timing worked and it is so close.  The boys hadn't heard anything about it and we had relatively low expectations. The Rotunda is going through some serious renovations and it was kind of a Where's the Movie Theater for awhile game.

We found the sign and the boys immediately fell for the snowman that we would soon find out was named Olaf.

Connor spotted the popcorn.

Jackson was knuckle biting and jumping up and down and flirting with the girls working in the concession stand.  He kept on asking them if they could give him popcorn.   We intended to get popcorn and couldn't resist when we saw how excited he was.

After the popcorn was purchased, Connor was stalking the candy section.  Since he didn't even know what any of the candy was, it was very easy to say no.  Maybe next time...

All settled in.

The 3D glasses did not last long but it's a good look on him, right?!?

Connor was questioning when the show was going to start.  There was a short prior to the film and  he was not happy to Pete the Cat.

It is really hard for Jackson to sit down for such a long period of time and we were super proud of him.  He was asking to move rows towards the end and I think that was just to get closer to the screen.

Wearing 3D Glasses and holding on to his juice cup and cup of popcorn.

The boys fell for Olaf, the snowman, and were laughing out loud during his song "In Summer."

It was definitely a good movie and a success for the first time at the movies.
