Jackson: We've had a busy summer with the need to set an alarm every single day whether or not it be for camp, vacation or Jr. Seashorses. This week, it finally caught up with Jackson despite having a Baltimore Blast Summer Camp. He had a bad dream and came in for a cuddle. It is the best when he falls asleep with us because he is usually on the go. He did make it to soccer and had a great time.
Connor: We talked with the boys and had them help make camp decisions this year and they both were excited for a Baltimore Blast camp at Meadowood Park. Several Blast players participated and by the end of the week they had signed shirts and a ball. And, finding friends from school were another reason for this big smile!

Week 29 of 52 in 2017
Jackson: Earlier this week, Maggie was at our pool and Jackson and her and Clara had a great time together. They spent hours together jumping in and moving around the pool grounds. Maggie's mom suggested that we go to see Peter Pan at Charm City Players. As Jackson loves to see musical theater, we were definitely interested.
Connor: Connor isn't into musical theater as much as Jackson but he was more than happy to see Peter Pan. Tiger Lilly was fantastic and Connor turned down pictures with most people but she was on the o.k. list.

2017 Campus Cabana Swim Team Dinner
As Jackson and Connor were at the maximum age for the Jr. Seahorses, the next step was to join the swim team. The Jr. coordinator, Tracey, had confirmed me that they would be making the move up to the swim team next year. The boys waited for their trophies and placement in either the Blue or White house, which we eventually found out was a supportive group to encourage their fellow swimmers/teammates.
The boys were very happy to see their friend and fellow Jr. Seahorse, Veronica, get her trophy too. Every day at practice, they ask where Veronica is and I completely understand why. Besides being Will's brother, she is adorable and her WonderWoman and Super Girl bathing suits seal the deal.
Both boys were placed in the White House. The next step is to pass the deep water test so they can go off the diving board and slide all the time as lessons are ending and there will be no more fun Fridays with donuts.

Jr. Seahorses at the Stoneleigh Meet
With their ability to get across the pool, our Jr. Seahorses were offered an opportunity to get in the pool during the Stoneleigh meet.
Upon arriving, Jackson couldn't contain his excitement. He definitely was in sprite mode and kept looking in on where the other swimmers were. Unfortunately for him, it took awhile to get to their heats.
When it was getting close to their heat, the boys huddled up with some other Jr. Seashorses and Coach Ryan.
After their heat was over, I was able to catch some pics of Jackson, who finished and first, and Connor, who finished 3rd, along with Coach Ryan. The boys have been with Ryan since almost the beginning. They are both fiercely loyal and even when Ryan was running late, they opted to wait for him in lieu of joining another group.
While at the meet, the boys had extra support from Maggie and her family. We were able to reciprocate for her too.

Peter Pan at Children's Playhouse of Maryland with Maggie
We received an invite to Peter Pan and couldn't turn it down. The boys were looking forward to seeing the show with Maggie and we were so happy that her mom mentioned it as I had forgotten the time frame and we lucked out to be able to see the last show.
The show was great. The boys were both very excited about the lost boys, pirates and Indian girls with Tiger Lilly. Watching the lost boys gave Jackson more excitement about his dreams to take a drama influenced summer camp, classes and or audition/participate in a play. From the minute that Nana bounded onto the stage, the boys couldn't take their eyes off of her. When Tick Tock appeared, it was with the same eyes full of amazement. Connor confirmed that Nana and Tick Tock were his favorite for sure.
When it was finally Peter's turn to take a bow, she took a ride once more with the Captain still unable to reach him.
Their final bow for the season.
After the play, the boys and Maggie were able to get pictures with some of their favorites. Initially, they were shy but they eventually lightened up to get some great pictures with members from the cast.

Week 28 of 52 in 2017
Jackson: We decided to sign Jackson up for summer lacrosse and he has been having a great time. Temperatures this week were very high and we had hesitated whether or not to actually take him because of how there was going to be no relief in the temperatures for days on end. Jackson did a great job playing defense and midfield even taking a couple of face offs. Had to take a picture of him showing how hot it was.
Connor: For as long as I can remember, Connor has been asking for his own sunglasses. I finally broke down and bought both boys some that weren't from the Dollar Bin at Target. Connor couldn't help himself and immediately tried them on. Hopefully, they won't loose them and continue to ask me to wear mine.

Jackson: After getting a new StarWars lego set at Toys R Us, we asked the boys for full cooperation before leaving for our trip to Chicago. This included a trip to Michael's office. While there, he decided to do some light reading. Michael will full discourage him from going to law school but obviously the choice is his.
Connor: We finally received our welcome bag from the Jr. Seahorses and Connor was more than happy to model his new shirt and swim cap. GO Seahorses!! Before our trip to Chicago, we were able to have Beck join us at the pool for swimming. They boys had such a great time together.
