Week 30 of 52 in 2024

Family:  A really fun night at Merriweather Post Pavillion with Fitz and the Tantrums and O.A.R.  We went to dinner at Victoria Gastro Pub and met up with Steph and Trey during the Fitz set.  We returned to our seats as Marc and the boys from Rockville took the stage.  Such a great show.  Jackson finally got to see the trumpet player and saxophone player steal the show.  The trumpet player is a whole vibe and you could actually watch him the whole night.  Michael was super happy with the playlist compared to the last time he saw them.  Could be a yearly tradition.

Week 29 of 52 in 2024

Jackson and Connor: Nate and Andrew Sauro joined the boys at Six Flags this week.  Andrew has a season pass and Nate was able to get in as one of Andrew’s sister.

Family:   Continuing to get used to the new car and it’s apparent issues with mini sized vehicles. It’s happened multiple times this week that the car started dinging with a warning to check surroundings for safety.  I’ve checked and the only slightly offensive thing is the mini that is driving in front of us.  Not the car I would pick but I can’t imagine what offense this car has really created by its existence.

Week 28 of 52 in 2024 : Vacation

Knowing that we could join Stoneleigh pool starting in mid-July, we opted to take a vacation prior to the membership starting.  Decision was made a couple weeks prior to go to South Carolina and stay in Isle of Palms, which gave us the opportunity to get into Charleston in about 20 minutes.  Our rental was a 5 minute walk to the beach, which we decided was better for us than being farther away with a pool.

We made it to the beach almost every day since it was so close and on some days, we even went up 2 times. And, we caught several sunsets.  Some of us realized that the sun wasn’t playing and there may have been some searches for rash guards for more than just Michael.

There was a historic tour of the city of Charleston.

And, there was more history at Forts Moultrie and Sumpter. The boys rode their bikes to Fort Moultrie where we found the resting place for Seminole Chief Osceola.  The town of Sullivans Island was beautiful with delicious food.  We couldn’t get in to the Obstinate Daughter so maybe next time.  Their gelato and cookie shop was a nice treat.

Week 27 of 52 in 2025

Jackson: After getting back from Philadelphia, we went straight to Universal lacrosse because his stick was on borrowed time. Coaches and parents had been alerting him to an issue with the pocket.  He even borrowed Coach Noah’s stick for the Sunday morning game of the tournament.  I even looked into buying him one in the Philadelphia area but all the stores closed before his last game on Saturday ended and didn’t open in enough time for his Sunday game.  It was time to pick up his stick on Monday. He went with Maroon for Towson High.

In the lead up to 4th of July and our upcoming vacation, we chose to be busier than ever with a trip to Six Flags, Justin Timberlake at the CFG Arena and going to the Rowan’s for the 4th of July.
