Fun at Skyzone to benefit RFES

We had previously missed this event sponsored by the PTA but opted to attend this year.  It had been years since we had been to Sky Zone so it was a good day to do some jumping.

Since it had been so long, we didn't know how many of their attractions had been turned into Ninja Warrior courses.  The boys have never seen the show but I anticipate that they'd love it as lots of their friends do.  It was definitely an upper body workout.

It always makes me happy to see how good of teammate Jackson is cheering his buddies on.  This time, he was rooting for Connor.  So sweet how much he loves him.

The boys were super proud of themselves to be able to make it up the wall.

Week 9 of 52 in 2018

Jackson and Connor: We had a rough run with loosing power but it seemed to have gotten better, that is, until this week.  It was incredibly windy and we lost power on Saturday morning.  We hoped that it would have come back sooner than later but we kept ourselves busy as it was cold in the house.  We started off with breakfast and secured tickets for the Greatest Showman.  It was opening weekend for some comic book movie come to the big screen and I couldn't be more proud of our boys knowing that they'd happily pick a musical!!  The movie was amazing.  We promptly downloaded the music as fast as we could so that we could listen to it over and over again.

After securing our food and checking out Key Brewery with friends, we headed up to Joe and Missy's who were kind enough to host us and keep us entertained until we eventually got power late on Sunday.  Good news was that it was just in time for the boys to be able to go back to school on Monday!!

Week 8 of 52 in 2018

Jackson: He's been making so many strides with Coach Jordan.  He was getting closer and closer and finally caught the ball when playing wall ball and was able to repeat it. He is getting so close to catching the ball when running.  Despite the low temperatures in the room, Connor and I are happy to cheer him on!!

Connor:  Connor has finally given in to his wool slipper moccasins from Hanna Andersson and there's nothing better than seeing his skinny legs in those slippers.  Red is his favorite color and he never wants to take them off. So glad I ordered them for him.

Baltimore Blast v. Tropics

We caught up with Everett at the Blast game. It had been a particularly cold day and we happened to have tickets because it was a camper night.

It was a great game that went back and forth and ended up in a tie in regulation.

It only took little bit of the time for the blast to get the win in OT.  We have so much fun going to the games and reminds me of all the times that I would go during high school.

After the game, they had an autograph session.  Tony Donatelli still remembers the boys from summer camp.

The players were asking the boys about whether or not they were going to do the camp.  They responded with a Yes and Healey  jokingly told them that Donatelli would be at ALL the weeks of sumer camps.

Thanks for the fun!

Week 7 of 52 in 2018

Jackson:  The boys were OBSESSED with the show Word World and I really benefit it with helping the boys becoming early readers.  We came across it when looking for something on the Guide and Jackson was jumping around as if he was 3 or 4 ALL OVER AGAIN.  It was the best.

Connor:  He is so glad to have his buddies in his homeroom with him and has grown closer to Chase, Everett and Julian as the year has moved on.  So happy that I was able to catch these pals together.

Week 7 of 52 in 2018 (2nd grade fun)

Jackson and Connor:  It was a week full of fun in 2nd grade.  The boys had their Valentine's party and a field trip to Goucher.

Week 6 of 52 in 2018

Jackson and Connor:  School was closed and it was grocery store day.  I do my best to run errands without the boys as it's just easier.  We've had some very rough trips to Wegmans recently with bad listening and just piling things in the cart that they want despite me telling them no.  We've started a routine of having cinnamon rolls on Sundays and they were actually being helpful this time. Although, I don't know if Wegmans would appreciate their method to reach the top.

Week 5 of 52 in 2018

Jackson:  I don't often take the boys to Target but it was necessary this week.  Jackson decided to check out all the weights.  He could probably lift more than I could. Most people aren't aware of how strong he actually is.  One day, he will be a great workout partner.

Jackson and Connor:  It was a LONG season for indoor soccer at Friends.  There were a lot of kids on the boys' team that really didn't want to be there. The boys were very frustrated with their teammates for not really being interested and their coaches that seemed to not realize what was going on during the games.  One final pic as we say good bye to this league.

Week 4 of 52 in 2018

Jackson and Connor: Besides being week 4, it was also the week that Michael was away in Orlando, FL for  a conference.  We had thought about taking the boys and making it a vacation (spending time with Mickey and pals) but the boys decided that they'd rather stay home.  Connor was concerned about schoolwork and not getting enough time with Michael since he had a busy schedule.

We went to a mid-week showing of Paddington 2, which couldn't have been cuter.  A bear with a British accent that ends up in jail is just too good.  He's super cute compared to how much Hugh Grant has aged.

The boys reluctantly went to the airport to pick Michael up on Saturday.  That hug confirms how happy that they were to see him and waiting an extra hour for him to get home from the airport would have been too long.

Week 3 of 52 in 2018

Jackson:  Both boys have been really into reading mysteries and they've been recently introduced to more characters and this apparently has inspired Jackson to make a poster about a detective agency that he wants to start.  It may have to be the Clue Brother as Connor is not as excited about this adventure... I am making sure to keep an eye on it as I don't want it circulating the neighborhood, ha!

Connor:  One last picture in front of our real Christmas Tree that is still around. He was a helper and we worked on putting the ornaments away.
