Week 25 of 52 in 2018

School is out and it was time for Swim Team practice.  So, we spent a lot of time at the pool.

Besides swimming, we also made it to the library to get books for the Summer Reading program.  We picked out a bunch of the Beverly Cleary books. I'm excited for the boys to learn all about Henry and Ramona.

Week 24 of 52 in 2018

It was an incredibly busy week for us....

The Giants came up short against the Athletics who eventually went on to win the Championship.  Some pitching decisions were made that probably could have changed the outcome but it was a great season for our favorite player and coach.  Despite not being picked to the All Star game, Connor is most definitely our ALL STAR!

With the 1/2 days leading up to the last day of school, we decided to take a trip to the zoo. It was a beautiful day.  We don't go as often as we used to but each time we do, we spend more time there and do much more in observing the animals and their behaviors.  We are looking forward to all the changes are aren't ready yet to give up our membership.

We are so lucky that RFES lets the students know which homeroom they have been assigned to on their final report card that is distributed on the last day.  The boys had compared notes and we were able to figure out which friends they'd be spending 3rd grade with.

After a stop at the pool, we were off to the Yard to see the Orioles play with a couple hundred other friends from Rodgers Forge.

Saturday was for the pool and celebrating Maddie's graduation.  After a very late night, we were up early to see the Incredibles 2 and celebrate our favorite dad's day.  After lunch, there were naps in store for everyone.

Week 23 of 52 in 2018

Jackson:  While Connor was at baseball practice, Jackson and I headed to Campus and he decided to take the swim test.   His jammers were in so we got him those to get used to the feel.  He passed and was super excited.

Connor:  After finishing up his game, Connor and Chase ran into Everett and got the update on the Athletics game.  By the time they reach school, they will probably know all the winners and losers and updated standings.

Week 22 of 52 in 2018

Jackson and Connor:  It was such a busy week for the boys.  They had their normal practice and game schedule but Sophia and Michael graduated and there was sports day (separate post) followed by Kona Ice at the school.

After Kona Ice, we stopped at the pool for a little bit as it was super warm.  We just couldn't keep still and ended up getting in some extra baseball practice at the field for Connor.  The next morning, the Giants were taking on the Diamondbacks.  Benny has become such a good friend to the boys.  They realized that his grandparents lived 2 doors up and they catch up whenever Benny stops by for a sleepover or visit.

While Connor was at baseball practice, Jackson and I headed up to the pool for swimsuit sizing.  Connor and Michael eventually caught up with us and we got the boys timed and measured in their first set of jammers.  Go Seahorses!!! We may have rested at some point but I'm not sure...

Week 20 of 52 in 2018

Jackson:  Everett's dad had asked the boys if they wanted to join them for the Final Four in the NCAA men's lacrosse tournament.  The boys were super excited and our lax player represented Kelly Post for a fun day watching lacrosse.

Connor:  Connor and Everett and buddies and we were waiting for this game so that they could finally face off.  The game ended abruptly because of rain but it was nice to see these pals around home plate together.

Week 19 of 52 in 2018

Jackson:  It's Lax tournament time for the NCAA.  After getting opportunities to see several games, Jackson was very interested in keeping up to date while we were out for Mother's Day at Heavy Seas.   He opted to go sit at the bar by himself and even had to ask them to put it on the t.v. 

Connor: He had a quick start to the baseball season with his bat and even has pitched.  Unfortunately, his bat has started cooled off.  Lucky for him, his dad loves to throw batting practice and he's got a twin brother who doesn't mind chasing down his hits.

So proud of these boys and grateful to be their mom!!

Week 18 of 52 in 2018

Jackson:  celebrating May the 4th be with you day.

Connor: Connor has baseball games on Mondays and Thursdays and practices on Saturday mornings.  So, they get to spend a lot of time together.  On Saturdays, the baseball boys get their chance to show their favorite lax player some support. 

Week 17 of 52 in 2018

Jackson:   It was a very hectic Thursday for me (lots of time in the car at multiple fields) but giving Jackson and opportunity to see his cousin, Michael, play one of his last games for Fallston was TOTALLY worth it. He was cheering Michael and the cougars on.

Connor:  I had volunteered to help with the book fair on Friday night and the boys had no choice but to hang out. They spent a good bit of time on their kindles but Connor was super happy to find his pals, Chase and Jackson Lee. Seeing his friendships grow puts a smile on my face too!

Week 16 of 52 in 2018

Jackson: Jackson's new lax bag arrived and he packed it up and was ready to go for his 1st lax game.  He was so happy to get a bag that would carry everything.  Having it hang on the stick had to have been heavy. 

Connor:  It was opening day for baseball and our #6 finally got his chance to play catcher. He was super excited for the opportunity and did a good job.  We are looking forward to a great year for our Giant.

Week 15 of 52 in 2018

Jackson: Neither of the boys ever want to go to stroke clinic.  We get it. It's cold outside, there's been snow on the ground and it's been raining BUT both of them have a huge smile on their face when it's done.

Connor:  On Tuesday's, Connor gets to be the supportive brother and join us at Meadowwood Park for Jackson's lacrosse practice.  He's not happy about having to attend especially when it's cold but once it's over, he's happy to help carry the boys' (Aidon too) lax equipment.  He gets a break on Thursday and I get to watch Connor practice as we are sharing days with the Vuolo's.
