After missing Mr. Peabody and Sherman and having a watch the movie party at home, we decided to go to Regal to see the Nut Job. Immediately upon arriving, we found Ryan from TPP with his grandma. Connor was able to sit next to him when watching the movie.
On our way back to the theater, we spotted all of the displays for upcoming Summer movies. The boys couldn't resist posing with the Minions. There was a preview of the movie which made us all laugh and we decided that we were going to have to go to the movie once it came out.
The movie was very cute with a great message. The best part may have been during the closing credits when all of the characters did Gangnam Style with Psy. Both of the boys lit up when they heard the music and the dancing didn't disappoint. It was a great start to the Summer Movie Series.

Bird is the WORD!
Looking for something fun, we went to the Avenue's Mommy and Me to catch up with Poe and the Oriole bird.
We found Gabby and Aunt Gina in Barnes and Noble and enjoyed some books.
It was a hot day so we enjoyed some time inside Barnes and Noble looking at their books before venturing outside.
We debated whether or not it was worth the time in line to get a picture with the birds. While we were waiting, there were coloring stations, bubbles and other activities to keep the kids entertained. This is probably the best coloring in the lines that we've ever seen from Connor. We are so proud of him.
This could have been the only picture that we got but the line deceased by a bunch and the boys were occupied so I was able to wait to see if we would get our chance to get a picture with the birds.
We made it before both birds had to leave.
After getting pictures with the birds, we stopped in to Red Brick Station for lunch. These cousins have so much fun together. We are ready for our next adventure.

Wild About Primates Day at the Zoo
The boys have been super busy with summer camp so we took advantage of the beautiful forecast and went to the zoo since we hadn't been in awhile.
The new penguin education center is always a great area to spend some time. There are often volunteers with either ambassador animals and providing a good bit of animal education. Today, the snake was offered.
We saw the sign about Wild About Primate Day when we entered the at zoo and we changed our normal walking route in effort to catch up with some of the enrichment that they were offering.
There was a lot of activity and all of the chimpanzees appeared to be on display. The keepers spoke and answered questions.
Their enrichment was having the chimpanzees try foods like barbecue sauce, mustard, maple syrup and peanut butter. They mixed the foods together and the reactions were fantastic. Once the chimpanzees realized what was going on, they charged to the fences to see what was being offered. They explained that this was a very popular enrichment for the animals.
After the enrichment was over, we moved on to Lemur Island.
We continued walking to find the okapi outside and all of the female giraffes inside. Typically, the females are kept together on the side of the fence closest to the giraffe house and the male, Caesar, isled to the feeding station. Apparently, while the primates were getting all of the attention, one of the giraffes broke down the fence. The keepers had to hurry up and move the giraffes inside.
We had a great day together celebrating the Wild About Primates Day. We've recently added Escape to Chimp Eden on our regular rotation of television shows. The boys are learning so much about the Chimps.

Towson Presbyterian Preschool : LAST day with pizza party
The boys had such a great experience with Towson Presbyterian. It was the absolute best decision for our family to switch the boys to a Monday Wednesday Friday program with fund days with mama on Tuesday and Thursdays.
So, it was definitely a sad but happy day for the boys as they said goodbye to Ms. Burton and their friends.
As a thank you to Ms. Burton for everything that she had done for the boys, we gifted her an Alex and Ani bracelet that was for energy. The boys picked out the bracelet and were so happy to give it to her.
Since the boys missed the class party, I asked Ms. Burton if it would be o.k. for me to get some pictures and she said yes.
Connor with his best pals, Gracey and Ryan
Maurine and Senuri
It was a pizza party with ice cream with the entire school to commemorate the last day. We are forever thankful to TPP and the introduction of Little Caesars pizza to Jackson so that we can now actually get pizza. Many thanks.
Connor had the biggest crush on Grace from almost the start of the school year. He didn't have as many ups and downs with her as he did with Brooke from Dulaney Day but his feelings did go on and off. We noticed that it seemed to happen when Jackson would tell us that he was playing with her....
Ryan and Connor were pals from the start. It was so nice for Connor to have found a friend in Ryan.
After the pizza and ice cream, the class walked back to their room for their final time together and Mrs. Bayne gifted them with a sand pail full of goodies for the summer.
A big thank you to TPP and Ms. Burton and Mrs. Bayne for taking such good care of our little boys before they start Kindergarten.
