O's v. Nationals at the Yard

We decided on the day of the game to get tickets and join Uncle Jim and his boys at the Yard to see the Orioles take on the Nationals.

I don't think that his excitement for riding the Light Rail will ever reduce.  He was so elated that it was time for the train to arrive.  The excitement for riding the Rail carried on to chatting with fellow passengers and reading us all of the stops.

We had enough time to get some pictures in the Walk of Fame.  Connor posing with Cal Ripken's number.

Jackson posing with another J man's number - Jim Palmer.

Uncle Jim and the boys were stuck in a good bit of traffic.  Once inside the Yard, it was clear that there was a good contingency of Nationals fans.  After the scanning of tickets, the boys were ready for the play area.

There was some light batting practice, posing with figurines and playing.

We got to our seats prior to the start of the game.  It took a good bit of time for Uncle Jim to finally join us at our seat.  He was traveling with all of the other Nationals fans, which makes sense, since he is in fact one of the fans.  We tried to keep the boys occupied with soft pretzels and cotton candy and activity books.

Despite the heat, it was a fun day at the Yard with the boys' cousins.  Soon after, we learned that they were moving to Florida and we are so happy that our boys got to spend some time with their cousins prior to the move.
