Jackson and Connor: The boys are still loving Ms. Celenza's workout. Today, there was some crab soccer. It was fun to watch and we were able to let "hello, this is Michael" have a zoom meeting.
It was a little chilly and the boys were super bothered for some reason to take a walk. The whole purpose of the walk was to swap books with their friend, Jackson. They had a very fun Google Meet with him the week prior and they found out that his mom had a good selection of Hardy Boys. On the walk back, Jackson couldn't control himself and was reading a book while walking up a hill to get home. Guess they weren't so upset after all.... Connor tried but struggled to keep his balance. With the library being closed, Connor has been struggling with his need to read books in order even though this series can be read out of order.
Jackson: Jackson voluntarily wanted to help dad form the burgers that were going on the grill. It's been so nice to be able to hand over some of the cooking duties with Michael mainly working from home. We often struggle to get food on the grill because we have to wait for Michael to get home and his timing is hard to plan for. It's been a treat and we are eating so well.
Connor: The bathroom is almost done!!! Connor was a willing model to help take pictures to show how high the shower is. We are super excited and hopeful that this project will be over soon!!

Week 16 of 52 in 2020
Jackson and Connor: With the contractors in our house and occupying the basement from 9 to 5, we've had to keep ourselves busy during the day in whatever way possible. There have been a LOT of walks. The boys are starting to loose excitement over the walks BUT they do often run into friends.
On this walk, we got caught in a storm on the other side of the Forge. WeatherBug really needs to get up to date on this. We are not runners but just went for it. Of course we had to document the walk when the rain stopped. As we approached our street, the clouds got dark again and a major dumping of rain happened when we got inside.
On this day, the weather was much kinder.
Thank you Ms. Celenza!! We've all been enjoying your workouts!!!

Week 15 of 52 in 2020
Jackson and Connor: The boys finally started getting instruction with packets. They are using Google Meets. It was a definite learning curve figuring out the platform so hopefully it will get better. Jackson was easily able to get on to his Exploratory Music meet but was denied entrance to his homeroom meet. He was SUPER upset because he was hoping to finally be able to see his classmates.
By the time that it was Connor's turn the next day, we figured it out and he was able to see his classmates and attend his homeroom meeting.

Week 14 of 52 in 2020
Jackson and Connor: The difference in a couple days! We attended a mini concert on the Millard's lawn by the Honeydews, who were great on Monday and on the following day, Governor Hogan issued an Order prohibited gatherings of 10 or more people and requiring people to stay 6 feet apart to stop the spread of COVID-19.
When we ran into Beck on one of our long walks on Thursday, we kept our distance.
Jackson: Jackson was WAY overdue for a haircut. We were planning to get there when everything shut down. He needs a haircut every 5 weeks just like mom and dad (lucky him) and we had to do something. Unfortunately, we are not so great with the clippers other than cleaning up the neck area and sideburns. There were real tears!! We will have to check out some YouTube videos. A lot came out but it definitely was not a high fade with a hard part.
Connor: We set up a Zoom with some of Connor's buddies from his homeroom. Jackson knew the boys too but it was Connor's time to host a Zoom. The conversation was slow to start but they eventually picked it up and were kind of bummed when it was over.
