and tastes good too. The boys received this card from "Aunt" Lisa and learned quickly how to make it sing over and over and over again. They are so proud of themselves when they get it to play the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse's theme song.

hello Comcast, this is Jackson

It's official -- Jackson can use the phone. The recipient of his first call was Brad, a Comcast Customer Service Representative. Brad introduced himself and offered his assistance. In response, Jackson gave him the silent treatment. Brad disconnected after he questioned whether or not he had addressed his concerns. It was classic. I will acknowledge that we had a missed call from Comcast.

Regardless, Jackson was able to put the phone on speaker and re-dial Comcast. Hopefully, Brad will get a laugh out of it because Michael and I sure did. And, whomever said that Comcast had poor customer service --our almost 1 year old was able to get someone on the phone in less than a minute.

 

Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Hey Hey Hey Good Bye

We can officially state that our house is formula free. We still have a little bit of formula in case we don't get out to the store BUT the boys have made a complete transfer to whole milk. They started on Wednesday night the 15th (as instructed by their pediatrician) and Connor was not very happy but Jackson didn't have any issues at all. In lieu of making Connor quit his Enfamil cold turkey, we opted for some 1/2 formula and 1/2 whole milk cocktails but on Saturday, he was ready for an ALL whole milk bottle.

Big Boys in their new chairs

Jackson doesn't really sit on his chair but quickly learned to use it as leverage to get to whatever he wants. The objects of his desire are various items on the couch and the steps. He has been obsessed with climbing anything and everything and using whatever he can too. One of our favorites is his attempts to climb the armoire to get to the t.v. (not able to catch on camera as of yet but it is absolutely hysterical since he uses his upper body to get up and can get off the floor).

Connor loves his chair and is willing to sit and enjoy it. Hopefully, his older brother will calm down and learn to sit. As of right now, the chairs are being used to block the draft from the unfinished portion of the basement.

Dear Santa: please make sure these are under our tree

We did a lot of online ordering to avoid the crowds and on this day, we received a lot of packages. The boys were very helpful in terms of sorting through the boxes. They even tried the Fishers popcorn that was for their Uncle Tony and Aunt Gina and Santa made sure that they got one of the Mickey Mouse Look and Finds for our house.

It's time to report that Jackson is walking...

Jackson started walking in early November and stopped for a couple of weeks. We were so excited as were Kim, Christine and Gina.  They would even send us texts about the number of steps in a row before dropping to the ground.

He is so happy to get where he wants to be on his own and without crawling. Wherever he goes, Connor is never far behind.  I waited to post until he was walking more than crawling.

First Chuck E Cheese party

Last year, the boys were in utero so they didn't get to experience all that Chuck E. Cheese had to offer.

This year was a lot different...





Jackson and Connor enjoyed the rides, the toddler play area, the pizza, the kids running around and most importantly, celebrating Drew and Chase's birthday.

Wiped out after feeding himself dinner

The boys have been feeding themselves more and more food and it has made their lunch and dinner times a lot more enjoyable.  Jackson didn't nap really well this day and here is the result! He fell asleep at the very end when I was "helping' him with some fruit. There are some messier foods like fruits and vegetables that still require a spoon but for the most part, the boys can do it on their own.

Walking like a gorilla

As soon as the boys started crawling with shorts or rompers on, they quickly realized that the hardwood that covers most of our house wasn't so kind on the skin. They immediately lifted up the legs as if to mimic a gorilla or other monkey relative. It was so cute but practical. Now, during the winter, they only exhibit these skills when in diapers trying to escape. I am hoping (for their knees) that Jackson and Connor are walking more than crawling before it is time to put on their shorts but it is funny while it lasts!!!

Headstands

Jackson has been doing headstands for awhile. It started off in the crib and has moved into an all the time type of thing. He even will do a headstand when asked. Our little boy is practicing his yoga poses early on. He is super funny when he maneuvers around with his head down as if he is an animal searching for food.
