Halloween Parade at Rodgers Forge Elementary School

The boys were incredibly excited for the Halloween parade.  They finished up their breakfast and Nate and Scooby were out the door!! We found several friends on their walk up to school and the costumes were great.

I was able to volunteer in Connor's classroom.  Immediately upon arriving in his classroom, Scooby was asked to log in to his device.

After morning announcements, the class assembled outside to start the halloween parade.

We walked outside to join up with the rest of the school on the basketball courts.  While we were out there, I was able to get some pictures of the boys with their friends.

Sophia and Claire from Ms. Thomas' class.

Our Nate the Great.... Most people thought that he was Sherlock Holmes and we discussed after that it was o.k. for him to let everyone know that he was Nate and describe who Nate was if they didn't know.

Captain America and Madeline.  There were a lot of super heroes but Caroline's Madeline was very popular during the parade route. Lots of oohs and aaahs.

Nate the Great with Joanna and Graham.

Connor with Luke, Caroline and Addison.

Jackson with Claire, Graham, Sophia and Claire.

Once we were off, we ran into Michael and the rest of the Brandon Road parents.  The kids were super excited to find and locate their family!!

The route was kind of long but the kids didn't seem to mind as their were so many people on the parade route to wave to them.  It was great for each kid to find someone that they were looking for.  Fiona was especially concerned about finding her mother.  We eventually did as we got closer to the school, which was such a relief.  It was so much fun to be able to walk with the kids on the route.

Once we returned to the classroom, Ms. Lohr had the kids all organize on the carpeted rug. She had the kids organized in different groups -- animals, ninjas, super heroes and princesses.  After the group picture and some costume adjustments/removal, the kids enjoyed some treats and a craft courtesy of the room mothers.
