It's still raining....

With the impending weather forecast of a hurricane named Sandy and heavy winds and the Mayor warning for people to stay off the road, Michael opted to stay home. We offered the boys several opportunities to see what was happening as all the other odd weather that we've had that knocked us without power have happened overnight.   Early on, Connor checks outside to confirm it's raining.

Jackson is super excited as he realized that his remote control train plays music in the clock tower as it goes up the hill.  Rain, who cares about rain, when you have musical clock towers??

After waking up from his nap, Connor checks outside and Connor confirms "It's still raining."

Jackson is still happy with his choo choos and track.

Overnight, the rain finally got the best of the Forge and we lost power around 1:30 a.m.  We were in shock at how long it took to go out.  It was cold in the house and dark so after checking with Aunt Gina and Uncle Tony, we broke out our rain coats and headed to their house after breakfast.

Jackson saying hello to draculala....

Connor testing his boundaries....

Connor is over the rain!

He perked up a little for lunch and for Word World.

After a nap, we decided to take a bath as Michael bolted for the office once the boys went down for their nap.  This, of course, would have been no less than 10 minutes before our power turned back on. There are no words for this cutie :)

Splashing it up in Dave's bathroom.  The boys informed us that we were at Dave's house. Wonder what Uncle Tony and Aunt Gina think about that.

So, we've had one hurricane and one derecho that knocked us without power -- we are done Mother Nature for the rest of the year, thank.you.very.much!
