making chocolate chip cookies for Santa

In years past, we were making chocolate chip cookies for Santa's plate just hours before we set it out. So, we coordinated to check a MUST do off the list.

Connor and Michael worked on the dry ingredients.

Jackson and I started the process of mixing the butter.

He helped add the sugar.

Both boys helped stir/beat the eggs.

Jackson is our lefty and this picture of Michael holding his hand is so adorable and a good way to restrain him.  It really is the little things that you don't realize when the actual baking is happening.  So happy that I had the camera.

Next up is was mixing the dry and wet ingredients.  Definitely a collaboration.

One of the best things about making cookies is to lick the beaters and with 2 children, there are not enough beaters to share.  Connor always wants one and this is the FIRST time that Jackson said yes.  It's not like he has not been offered it in the past but he has always refused.

Enjoying the cookies.

Now if we can save some of the cookies for Santa -- we will be good!
