We were off to Middletown to catch a ride on the Milk and Honey Line to the North Pole.
It took over an hour and the boys fell asleep on the ride and when we arrived, there was a long line to get tickets and both boys were incredibly concerned that we were going to miss the train ride. And, since we were in the car for such a long time and with the actual train ride going for up to 2 hours, a trip to the potty was necessary. These looks are of complete concern that they were going to miss something.
We made it onto the train and into our seats.
There was lots of looking out the window and sights. The train moved rather slow as it was going through multiple towns and there were numerous train stops on the way to the North Pole.
The ticket man came through and retrieved our tickets and Connor spent a good bit of time organizing the tickets.
They were looking out and finally found Santa.
Santa made his way through the train and delivered a book to each of the passengers.
Jackson started to follow him.
We lured him back and as we waited patiently for our turn, Connor was restless and we picked up some snacks. They had their first taste of Cheetos and they were very well received.
Santa worked his way to the end of the train and turned around once all of the books were handed out to pose for pictures and chat with all of the passengers.
This happy face sums up the fun we had. It was a great train ride to the Polar Express and return back to Middletown. While we were on our way out to pick up Santa, an older boy asked Jackson where he thought we were going and he immediately responded, "to the North Pole, of course." It was the best and confirmed how much they pay attention to the Polar Express.
