30th Anniversary of If you give a Mouse a Cookie

After attending several events at the Avenue at White Marsh, which included listening to stories and looking around at Barnes and Noble, we decided to check our Towson location for a special event.  The boys love ALL of the If you give books so this was definitely a fun thing to attend. 

While we waited for everything to get started, the boys did a lot of browsing for themselves and others as Connor never misses an opportunity to shop. Since the boys are now reading, they could pick up some books and actually start reading them.

She started off with If you Give a Mouse a Cookie and continued with If you Give a  Pig a Pancake.  The boys have loved these books from Laura Numeroff since we bought them.  It was the start of their helping read as they could complete all of the last words in the sentences because of how often they asked for and we read them.

After the books were read, we were given coloring pages and book marks.  The boys were so excited to get book marks and they will be very helpful as we continue our reading adventures into chapter books.
