After the excitement of the tree trim, we headed out to Carroll County for the Farm Fair. We had enjoyed ourselves last year and wanted to make sure that we got back to see the animals.
There were little chicks last year that were learning how to walk and riding a slide. With all of the issues with the avian flu, they did not have the slide set up. However, there were a lot of other chickens and turkeys to see in the bird house.
And, each of the boys were given and opportunity to pet a chicken.
We moved on to the animals on display and found a ton of sheared sheep and sleeping pigs.
The boys spent a good bit of time watching the cows on display.
After the showing had ended, we moved on to the goat pens. The goats were so aggressive and were climbing out of their pens.
The spotted cows are always a favorite.
After the rabbit hutch and watching the Stihl tree carvers at work, we checked the pond and the boys were able to see/chase the geese. They enjoyed walking with the geese and helped encouraged/frightened them into the water. It was absolutely amazing to see how close the geese allowed the boys to get to them.
