RFES Kindergarten : Jackson's Sneak a Peek at your seat

We met up with Mary Elizabeth and walked up to the school to for Sneak a Peek. We had decided that we would all go to Jackson's room first and that we would take Connor over to his class once Jackson had his chance to explore. 

Once there, we caught up with Joanna and Claire. Since the only people we really knew in his class were girls, he stuck with them.

We walked in and the kids were able to find their seat, explore the classroom and meet Ms. Thomas. 

Jackson found his seat at the blue table and he was situated next to Claire and Ryan. 

We encouraged him to go walk up to Ms. Thomas and introduce himself.  This smile is 
E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.  We went through a long period of uncertainty with Jackson and his ability to sit and engage and enjoy school. We are hoping for good things. And, this will definitely be used in a slideshow.  We love that he gave her a handshake. Saving the hug for when he gets to know her better!! 

He was given a list of tasks to complete and one of the items was to introduce himself to someone.  It worked out that he was able to introduce himself to Claire. We are hopeful that this will be a great group of friends. 

He was a little concerned walking around the classroom as he wasn't so happy about the toy selection. But, then, the seas parted and he found the animals. Thank you Ms. Thomas.  There is nothing more to our little man than animals. 

We all spotted this and knew how great that she would be with her choice for lunch, song, memory and favorite movie!!  Jackson is so excited for Kindergarten and we know that Ms. Thomas will take good care of him.
