Ready for Disney via the Ice

We (well I) had talked about going to Disney World a lot with the boys.   Michael was incredibly apprehensive about going on the trip and I suggested that we try Disney on Ice.  The tickets were 1/2 off and it gave us an opportunity to see how well they would do sitting down as the plane ride was the most daunting portion of the process for Michael.  The boys and I caught up with some clips on You Tube and we were ready to see Mickey and friends on Ice!!!

The boys were antsy waiting for the show to start but completely understood that not sitting down was not an option.

He ventured around in our row before the show started but didn't get too far.

After the Incredibles started the show off, first up was Alice in Wonderland.  The boys didn't know much about Alice but knew enough to not like the Queen of Hearts!!!

They have recently been engrossed in Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Peter Pan recently arrived via the Disney Movie Club so we knew that this was going to be very exciting for the boys. They love Captain Hook and Smee.

Tinker Bell flying through the air was very exciting too.

Next up was the Lion King, which is still one of their favorites.

Timon and Pumbaa are their favorites.   They were not too happy to see Scarf but knew that he was going to be there.

And, their 1st Disney movie pals, the Dig Digs, showed up.

The Queen and her alter ego, the witch, showing up wasn't their favorite and since they had never seen the entire movie, it was great to see that they caught on really quick that Snow White should not eat the apple.

We had tried the boys with Aladdin prior to the show but they really didn't care for it other than Raja the Tiger.  But, they now know who Jasmint, the princess, is.

The boys didn't want to leave their seats during the intermission and not even to help me get french frires. They toyed with the idea but didn't want to leave their seats.  I guess they were concerned that they were going to miss the show.

After a couple of visits from some more princesses and The Little Mermaid, the boys were starting to get antsy.

They were all smiles when Mickey and Friends returned with the rest of the princes and princesses for one last skate.

It was a GREAT day and confirmed that the boys could sit still for longer than 5 minutes at a time.  We booked our trip to Disney World and are super excited to catch up with Mickey and Friends at the end of the month!!
