First up for us were some Disney, Jr. characters.
Jackson was OBSESSED with Jake's eyes and it was a little awkward because it was clear that he didn't want to be poked in the eye and Jackson just couldn't handle himself.....
We got the tickets to be able to see Disney Junior -- Live on Stage. It was a puppet show titled "It's a Surprise Birthday Bash. It’s Minnie Mouse’s birthday! Join the Fab Five in the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as they plan the best surprise ever. Donald, Goofy and the rest of the gang gather inspiration as they watch their Disney Junior pals collaborate to solve sticky situations. Despite being puppets, Jackson thoroughly enjoyed the show. Connor was definitely suffering from the lack of nap and not enough sleep. Michael had to take him outside of the show because he was practically inconsolable.
After the show, we headed over to get pictures with Mike and Sully. It had started to rain and we were using the character greeting spot as a shelter from the rain. Connor perked up a little but both boys were a little hesitant around the Monsters, especially Sully because of how big that he was.
We debated leaving the park because of Connor's demeanor and knew it really wasn't him but the lack of sleep. But, we have two kids and it wasn't fair to Jackson. Our last item on our whirlwind tour of Hollywood Studios was a photo opp with Buzz and Woody at Pixar Place. We tried to convince Connor to stand in the line but he wasn't very happy and worked out a deal that he could come back in when it was our turn. But, he wouldn't come back in. So, Jackson worked his magic!!
For an idea of how sassy Connor was -- picture proof. It was not a good scene.
