We found the last seats and were finally able to relax as we prepared for a view of the Cherry Blossoms.
We were incredibly close to Regan National Airport. There were a lot of airplanes taking off and landing.
Both boys kept an eye on the air and everything that was on the water, including the kayakers.
We passed by the Kennedy Center,
the Lincoln Memorial,
and the Washington Monument.
The charter captain pointed out the rarity of the rail train and Metro train running at the same time. The boys were fascinated.
After we turned around, we got a closer view of the monuments. On top of the debacle with regard to the location of the Nightingale, we did not get a really good view of the Cherry Blossoms as was promised. So, we were off to find another solution to get up and close with the Cherry Blossoms.
