Mistletoe, the elf

We opted to wait until this year to introduce the Elf on the Shelf to Jackson and Connor and along with the wait by one year, we also waited until 12 days before Christmas to do a "formal" introduction and start the shenanigans.

Our house isn't the smallest or the largest but the idea of trying to hide the elf for 25 + days with 4 toddler hands wanting to pounce on it was a little daunting.

Prior to reading the book, Connor asked for his picture to be taken in the rocker. He is something else.

Reading the story.

Connor getting upset because he is not in a position that he approves of, as in without complete access to the book.

A little closer and no more tears.

Allowing Jackson to give him a hug.  I know that you are not supposed to touch him BUT it is the first night.

Pointing out the elf's location on the bookcase. Looking forward to lots and lots of fun with Mistletoe.  That's right -- Mistletoe.  The boys suggested it and I think that it is a tribute to Mickey's Mistletoe Mountain but we'll take it.
