Olde Tyme Fells Christmas 2012

I had a LONG and ambitious list for our holiday celebrations in the month of December. After the Festival of Trees was the Fells Christmas celebration.  Santa was to arrive on a tugboat and there was to be a horse drawn sleigh ride option.  Next year, we will work better on timing as early risers this family is not but we did see a Santa on a tugboat.

We ran through the cobblestone streets in an attempt to get there on time but unfortunately -- the only thing on time for the day was Santa :(

Shhhhhh don't tell Jackson and Connor that he was just a blow up and not the real thing.

Still watching as Santa continued on his merry way in the water.

After the boat was out of sight, the boys turned their attention to the ducks, which was much better than chasing pigeons.

While we were waiting for Santa's sleigh to arrive, we walked to a nearby park and let the boys warm up by running around. Something happened to the camera so the shot is blurry but the smile still shines through...

After being told that Santa was not going to show, we opted for brunch at Koopers.  Great food, adult morning beverages and a table by the fire to warm us up was a perfect way to end our morning of fun.

Next year -- we will be on time for sure as I don't know if they will be as naive enough to realize that it was a blow up. However, the boys probably didn't care that much as the idea of Santa still isn't well received.
